Ben Dibuono's Experience
Ben Dibuono is a seasoned lacrosse player and coach with 25 years of playing experience and 19 years of coaching experience. He played high school lacrosse at Janesville-Dewitt in Syracuse, N.Y., and later played for UCI while attending California State University, Long Beach (C.S.U.L.B.).
Throughout his post-collegiate career, Ben played for several club teams, including Valley Lacrosse Club, Orange County Lacrosse Club, Brine Lacrosse Club, Lax World Lacrosse Club, Hot Sticks Lacrosse Club, and Crossfire Lacrosse Club. He was also selected to play in the California State All-Star game in 1986.
As a coach, Ben has contributed to numerous teams and organizations. He has coached at Rancho San Joaquin Middle School, Yorba Linda Orangemen, Yorba Linda Lightning, and served as the head coach at Esperanza High School for five years. Additionally, he was an assistant coach at Yorba Linda High School for eight years, the head coach at Estancia High School for one year, and a JV coach at El Dorado High School for one year.
Ben’s coaching philosophy centers on developing a lifelong love for lacrosse in his players. A fun fact about Ben is that his first lacrosse stick was made of wood by Alfie Jacques, a legendary stick maker from Onondaga Nation.
